His figures tend to exhibit a certain charismatic quality to them as well as a "longing" to be looked at. Every figure seems to almost be "too beautiful". Leyendecker creates a fictional romantic world of ideal individuals who are ready to be subjected to the gaze at any given moment. A narrative set up to be pondered about; their thoughts, words and relationships.
